JOCKMAIL owned and operated by Shenzhen JunChiXing Commerce Trading Co. LTD is located in downtown Shenzhen City, Longgang District in the Guangdong Province. Our company has designed and trademarked one of our newest underwear concepts that has a modern Eurasian fashion influence of colors and designs in now Men’s Underwear, coming Swimwear as well as Gym wear/Active wear that are perfect for all year round.
All or our Men’s underwear range is made of Soft Combed Cotton which is considered higher quality and is more softer than ordinary Cotton. The combing procedure eliminates the group of shorter fibers and polluting influences in it which brings about a more finer, stronger, end result to the finished product.
Style:
These trunks are very plain with a solid navy color and a black waistband and the branding is very subtle and requires a little effort to see the JOCKMAIL branding. Overall, they don’t look to far away from other men’s trunks. When you put them together with other trunks, they look just the same.
Fit:
They are well fitted – no compression. I’ll talk more about the pouch area in the our views section. Overall, you don’t feel the snug, but then it holds everything in place so that you don’t feel much of the underwear.
Construction:
These are made with 95% modal and 5% Spandex. I have some complaints with the quality control of these trunks. You can see in the photos that there are some loose threads and overall quality of the stitching is not at par with other brand name underwear. Overall, the fabric is smooth and I do feel my skin gliding off these trunks. Not bad.
Our Views:
Jockmail is a weird name for an underwear brand. Jock I understand since it does relate to underwear, but mail? why mail? Are they sending the jock via mail? Curious to how they got this brand name.
As noted previously, the styling of these Jockmail trunks aren’t that exciting. However, if you do visit their website, you can see they do have some good designs of briefs, trunks and jockstraps too. The pricing of these are considered budget range, but not to the volume packs where you can get 6 pairs for $10. At around $5 USD a pair, these do have some specialty and are not the tighty whites in the volume packs. The design is similar to SAXX pouch system which doesn’t have the U shape to lift your package.
Pouch
Since we started talking about the pouch, we should begin with it. The pouch design uses a mesh fabric which is similar to the AOElement sack pouch which is made with cool materials and have mesh holes. I would consider these as 3rd tier mesh fabric. There are times where I feel the fabric rubs against my sack, or even my anus which causes some discomfort. So why the anus? The mesh fabric actually goes all the way to the bottom of the trunk and when I wear them, the mesh fabric ends right where my butt is and it just sits right under my anus. The extra fabric rubs against my anus at times when I am sitting down and moving around. If you have hemorrhoids, do not wear these as they may cause bleeding of your hemorrhoids due to the rubbing. However, I believe they have upgraded and made some with micro mesh which should be much better overall and hopefully they save some mesh fabric and stitch it a bit higher in the pouch area.
The pouch does separate your package from your thighs, but doesn’t do much lifting, so it shouldn’t create too much of a bulge. If you wear underwear pointing up, these should be good for most men and the separation is still good. I would say that it’s not very snug, so the principles of gravity most likely not stay up after some time.
Size & Fit
If you are looking at buying these, you need to up-size a lot. I wear a North American medium size and I had to purchase a L for this pair. They have a chart to compare your height and weight and what size you should buy. From what I can see this is the sizes in comparison:
- North American S = S/M (27-31 inches)
- North American M = L (31-33 inches)
- North American L = XL (33-35 inches)
- North American XL = XXL (35-38 inches)
This is only a reference. You do need to look at your weight and height to see if this fits your shape.
If you get the right size, they fit well. Wearing them does not feel bad. If your size sits between their sizes, I would recommend going one size up. All underwear from China are usually on the smaller size and would be better for a loose fit than stretching it and feeling uncomfortable.
The legs do ride up a bit, but it wasn’t a problem. There are times where I noticed that I had to stand up and pull the legs back down. There is no fly, so going over the gate is necessary.
Final thoughts
For $5 USD, I would say this pair of trunks are not bad. My sweaty package did n’t feel sticky or overheated. The fabric feels thinner than premium under like BN3TH, is as smooth as those brands. This styling is at par to boring underwear, but is good for guys who don’t care much and just want a pair of breathable underwear.
Verdict:
Will I buy another one? Maybe, these aren’t bad – but nothing special for me to buy another pair for now.
