Ejis believes that no one should feel embarrassed about something as natural as sweating it started a journey to design the best undershirts and boxer briefs in the world. They scoured the globe to find the highest quality materials and partnered with the best manufacturers in the industry to create a line of products unsurpassed in their ability to make you feel more confident.
At first I was a bit confused with the branding. On Amazon they have the Essential Boxer Brief branding, while the packaging says Premium Boxer Briefs and then their website has Sweat Proof Boxer Briefs. I’m not sure what is the difference between the 3 different brandings. Also on the Sweat Proof Boxer Briefs is the only collection they offer. On Amazon they also have Ejis Sweat Defense Boxer Brief branding. However, they look very similar.
After numerous research, I believe that the Essential Boxer Briefs/Premium collection does not have the sweat defense feature as they are testing the markets for regular boxer briefs. This is what they stated with the Essential collection in their marketing: “Originally, we set out to help our friend overcome his sweating problem. This led to our creation of a sweat proof undershirt that works in all situations. We then expanded to a line of Essential products for those who love the feel of our fabric but don’t always need the sweat protection.”
Style:
The styling of these boxer briefs is quite plain and they have 5 different colors offered: white, black, blue, green and gray. We are reviewing the gray version. They are all solid colors and with a big branding right in the center of the waistband. The comfort pouch is more contoured and allows your package to sit nicely into the pouch.
Fit:
I found that the fit was a bit loose. If you like tighter underwear, you may want to consider downsizing. When I put them on, I felt that they were going to fall off, but they didn’t.
Construction:
These are made with 95% micro modal fabric and 5% Spandex. The micro modal fabric is 2x softer than regular cotton and it fabric does not shrink after numerous washes. The boxer briefs are also treated with SILVADUR antimicrobial technology which effectively controls bacteria that causes odors.
Our Views:
The Ejis brand was a bit confusing upfront and I didn’t know this had the sweat defense, but after numerous research this collection we are reviewing does not have the sweat defense properties. The design looks exactly the same as the sweat defense collection, without the sweat proof. So when you do decide to buy these made sure you have the right version.
I believe Ejis wanted to expand their market and not all men need sweat proof boxers. I know a lot of men sweat badly, but there are guys who don’t. So adding the Essential collection does help increase their market share.
This essential collection does have the SILVADUR anti-microbial technology which helps reduce the bacteria down there and it doesn’t matter if you are a sweaty guy or not, this technology is welcome since it keeps you healthy. They claim that the treated fabric is still 99% effective after 50+ washes – I’m no scientist and don’t verify their claims – you just gotta trust them on it.
Pouch
They purposely advertised this with a comfort pouch. If you look at the photos, you will see there is a contoured pouch for your package to fit in. I feel they are a bit showy in this color that I wore. Your package does sit well into the pouch and the pouch is quite big. For my size, there is still a lot of room for larger guys.
There is no lifting and the pouch just lets your package sit onto the pouch. When walking around there is a bit of bouncing around, but not enough to feel uncomfortable. If you are active, you may see this an issue as the support to keep it in place is not there.
For guys who point up, this are not for you. The pouch is designed for you to point down. I tried pointing up and it keeps it up for a short time and gravity just brings it back into the pouch
Size & Fit
If you are looking at buying these, you may want to downsize if you prefer tighter boxer briefs. The fit may change the feeling and maybe have more support and less bouncing around. Here are the sizes Ejis offers:
- XS (28-30 inches)
- S (30-32 inches)
- M (32-34 inches)
- L (34-36 inches)
- XL (36-38 inches)
- XXL (38-40 inches)
- XXXL (40-42 inches)
This is only a reference. You can see that they do have a lot of sizes and definitely if you are on edge you show downsize. That is in my case. I wear a medium is most situations and I think the Small will fit better.
Final thoughts
I bought a 3 pack for $50 USD. $16.67 a pair of boxer briefs aren’t too expensive. The fabric is soft and smooth and because of the looser fit, it does give you the feeling that you aren’t wearing it much. But it initially gave me the feeling that it was going to fall off because of the looser fit. They are light and you don’t feel that they are hanging on your body.
Verdict:
Will I buy another one? Maybe. They have some special properties, but I already have a 3 pack, and the journey for trying different collections and brands, it’s hard to buy another pair. If I had to buy again, I will definitely try the sweat proof version and a small size instead. My only concern with the sweat proof version is to keep the sweat in the package.
