Calvin Klein is well known for his underwear and they have stores just to sell you Calvin Kleins.  Many well known artist wears Calvin’s in their ads and there are tons of models, colours and  you name it.  These Calvin Klein Light Low Rise Trunk uses the mesh fabric which knits it, and was put up in delicate microfiber and has the microfiber waist band of the graphic mesh design and it is very light and wraps up a body like air smoothly.   Let’s see how they measure up…

Style:

The collection we are reviewing today is part of the CK Light collection. These are suppose to be as light as air – so it should feel that you are wearing nothing. The waistband does have some styling with dots around the CK logo. I think the dots in the waistband represents the mesh-like material this pair of trunks use. Overall, these are standard styling trunks.

Fit:

The fit is has no compression at all.  They just fit and it does have a lower cut and because they are trunks they are shorter in the leg area.  Because of it being a trunk, it feels that they do ride up and create more fabric than necessary in the groin area.  The material is thin so this pair – even if there is ride up, doesn’t feel as bad as other trunks. The jock cup/pouch is great as there is no pressure on your boys and but I don’t really feel much support in them.

Construction:

The material is soft, smooth, shiny and can be very transparent when stretched.  They are well made and the stitching is good.  The waistband is considered smooth, not sure if you call it soft. It does seem that these can last a very long time in many washes without losing shape.  The jock cup uses the same material as the rest of the trunks – but it’s double layered. It’s not as breathable as other parts of the trunk, but it should do the job. There is not fly, so you will have to go over the gate when you do you business. The seams are flat and there is no rubbing at all.

Our Views:

I’m not a big fan of trunks because of the short legging which typically rides up and creates wedgies or creates too much fabric in the groin area causing excessive heat. This pair still rolls up and does create wedgies and discomfort with my sack. Fortunately, the fabric is much thinner than the other pair of CK I reviewed so it does not build too much heat in the groin area. There isn’t much pressure on your boys and it does support them a bit. If you get too active, they may still bounce around or hit your thighs.

Verdict:

This pair of trunks are much better than the CK microfiber trunks. You don’t feel them when you put them on – that is where the Light comes in. They are very light and you really don’t feel them. They can stretch a lot and they do become transparent as they stretch. I think this pair of trunks are very good for a relaxing day.  They feel great at first, but as the day goes along it may not be as good for your package as the legs still roll up and create uncomfortable wedgies. Unfortunately, my package sweat a lot, so these are not for me.  Will I buy them again? YES – if they were boxer length.
