This pair of Abercrombie & Fitch Classic Boardshorts has an opening and shutting, liner underwear of the mesh unify the waists in a string and magic tape. Supersoft stretch fabric with fixed boardshort style waistband and drawcord, key loop at waistband, patch and flap pocket with velcro closure, side seam hand pockets with mesh pocket bags and interior mesh basket.
Camo has been a thing for a few years. These camo swim boardshorts are great for the beach or even at the swimming pool. This version is the long version which I believe has a 9″ inseam. They do have a shorter version which is 5″. Styling overall is good and is aligned with majority of the boardshort market. You will notice some details like the ring on left side below the waistband and the hole in the back pocket to allow water to flow out. There are also mesh pockets so you can actually wear them as shorts.
Swim wear is hard to have the wrong fit. These are defintely loose fit boardshorts and the tie allows the adjustment and to make sure they don’t fall off. The inteior mesh “basket” – I’ll call in underwear fits well and keeps the shorts in place. Unlike SAXX or other pouch liners, your boys will have less support while running on the beach.
These boardshorts are made very well and all the lining does not scratch your boys at all. It’s made with 100% polyester. I would say that they exterior shorts do feel better than the SAXX ones.
Overall, these boardshorts are great. The camo design is trendy and is not as boring as the solid color ones and not as flashy as those bright blue/orange/yellow ones. The tie is solid and works well to keep the shorts on when getting out of the water. There are some great details that make it an A&F product. I have worn this pair for quite some time and it has been in a lot of pools and it is still holding up very well. With all the details in this part of board shorts, you can definitely wear them at the beach or just even as shorts if you couldn’t find another pair laying around.
I know this design is near the end of life, but I would say this still stands well with the current designs A&F has to offer. With that being said, I would buy another pair of A&F boardshorts when this one pair loses it color or starts to look old. Now I just need to work on my abs so I don’t look too bad in these on the beach.
